The name 'Ladies that bake' came from a teacher at school - I was running a cake stall at the school's Summer Fair with two office friends and he took a photo of us. He named it 'Ladies that bake' and the name stuck. We now have our own pink gingham aprons and help run/organise various charity cake sales at school. We also volunteered to bake favours for the year 11 prom last year. We made iced biscuits - a lovely dress for the girls and a bow tie for the boys (see photos below). I searched for a decent 'gown shaped cutter' on UK websites but then fell in love with one on an American website called ecrandal.com. I emailed them and they agreed to send the cutters to the UK. It was definitely worth the effort as the cutters (gown and bowtie) are handmade in copper. We will be using them again this year, just changing the colour of the flowers on the dresses and the organza bags.
That's it for now, take care until next time.....x
